Hand Painted Landscape Necklace with Freshwater Pearls
This one of a kind jewel boasts many artistic techniques.
I started this process by roaming the beautiful countryside of Canandaigua and surrounding Finger Lakes areas and collected photos of the landscape scenes to use as references. This landscape was a snowy afternoon on Emerson Rd looking North.
From there, I created the pendant by making a hand-formed brass dome cabechon that I used to stretch the canvas. After painting the impression of the landscape I created a sterling silver setting to place the painting in - making it a wearable work of art.
This piece called for the use of some amazing freshwater pearls from my collection.
The length is adjustable from 17 inches to 20 inches.
Materials: sterling silver, brass, canvas, acrylic paint, freshwater pearls.
It is a bold statement piece sure to garner much attention, conversation and compliments.
Proudly handmade in Canandaigua NY, USA.
